Charles is currently
undertaking doctoral research focused on ancient Greek epic in opera,
cataloguing and analysing the process of how ancient oral epic is
received in the medium of musical theatre. He is supervised by Professor
Edith Hall, Research Professor of Classics and Theatre at Royal
Holloway, University of London and Director of the Archive of Performances
of Greek and Roman Drama at the University of Oxford. His research
is generously funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council.
He is also a Postgraduate Member of the Centre for Reception of
Greece and Rome (CRGR). Charles holds an undergraduate degree in
Classical Studies and a Masters in Classics from the University
of Durham. |
