Special projects

In May 2007, Charles worked with the BBC on their children's summer series "Do Something Different". During one week's worth of filming, Charles mentored a 4-piece rock band, 3 of whom claimed not to be able to sing, and turned them into a Barbershop quartet. The four boys, aged between 13 and 14, performed their Barbershop act during a Voces8 concert in Suffolk. The show was aired in July 2007.

Charles also works regularly as a vocal coach on various other on-going projects at the BBC, including BBC 1 "Songs of Praise", BBC Radio 3 Choral Evensong and BBC Radio 4 Sunday Morning Worship.
